Using Men's Button Down Shirts To Attract Him

I’ve always talk about fashion, girls stuff and things that would make girls beautiful and attractive. We've talked about clothes that guys love (pencil skirts, red hair, miniskirts) and clothes they hate (gladiator sandals, high-waisted jeans, ruffles) But the real way to drive a man crazy about you? Borrow his button-down shirts or better yet by your own oversized yet sexy button down shirts... Who knew? I know button down shirts is a fashion staple, and it’s definitely sexy to wear. Stars like Audrey Hepburn from the 60’s to Blake lively of today’s generation had been sporting it. But who knew that this is our men’s favorite women clothing item.

We interviewed five guys and they explained the timeless appeal of women wearing men's button down shirts. Girls should definitely read this.

* Drew says: "There are two things I like: First, in a fit of passion, you can pull the shirt open down the front, seeing the buttons fly. Second, it's like the girl wants to inhabit you in the best way, like she's inhaling you and snuggling with you all at once by inhabiting the shirt."

* David says: "Men's shirt looks so cute on girls. You see their narrow shoulders in this totally oversized shirt and they look so, well, girly yet has that dominatrix touch on them."

* Bean says: "I like button-down shirts or button down dresses when the girl is only wearing panties or nothing underneath and just jewelries. These shirts are the perfect length in terms of covering up JUST enough to leave something to the imagination and yet be totally tantalizing. It’s pure sexiness, yet with elegance.

* Stephen says: "I always associate this look with a woman just waking up in the morning. Without no help from her other girly stuffs. You know - no makeup, jewelries and all those craziness; just her and her natural beauty which we love, so it elicits a Pavlovian response. You feel that glow just seeing a girl wearing a button-down. It’s like she’s a strong and beautiful girl beneath that shirt and yet she is also your friend.

*Mark says: I like button down shirts when they are paired with pencil skirts for the office. All tuck in complete with high heels and jewelries, full of elegance and then suddenly, after work you can just tuck it out and achieve that comfortable yet elegant look. Crazy how one outfit can turn out in both ways.

Fascinating, right? Well, in this article we had proven that menswear inspired women’s clothing is what makes us the most attractive for them. So have you guys ever worn a man's button down shirt? Or just a pretty and loose button-down of your own? How have guys reacted? Drop us some comment and let us know And if you haven’t tried yet, I suggest that you do it this instant.

Our List Of Top Menswear Inspired Women's Clothing

When I saw all guys dressed in slacks, loafers, and button down shirts, I immediately think how lucky they are to wear comfortable clothes and still look good while I’m here at my fitted dress with skyhigh platform edges. Don't get me wrong -- I love my dresses, skirts, and heels, but sometimes it's nice to trade in the frills for something more relaxed ... something menswear-inspired like button down shirts. Read on to see our picks for the best menswear inspired women’s clothing

Classic Blazer - A classic blazer in navy or black is the number one staple when it comes to your menswear-inspired wardrobe. Fit is always important to consider, but makes all the difference in a blazer. "You want the blazer to fit well through the shoulders," says Sanders. "You don't want it to be loose and slouchy and overwhelm your frame." Along with fit, layering with feminine pieces is the best way to make a blazer stylish. "Even if you are wearing multiple menswear pieces -- like a button-down shirt and a blazer -- pairing with flirty shorts makes the outfit cute and sexy."

Necktie - So how do you pull off a necktie without looking like a stuffy businessman? Easy. The key to wearing a tie is to keep it in proportion to your frame. "You don't want to wear a men's tie and look like you're playing dress up," says Rygorsky. So instead of raiding your BF's closet, try the little boy's department. "Ties in boys' sizes are the perfect length to wear with a cute oxford, and thankfully a lot of them come pre-tied."

Suspenders - OK, so you might associate suspenders with famous nerd Steve Urkel, but bear with us here. This menswear accessory can actually be quite chic on women, and it's a great statement piece. "Suspenders can look really flirty," says Rygorsky. "Try a slim, black pair with a black pencil skirt and a fitted feminine blouse. You really want to choose an outfit that will counterbalance the masculinity of the suspenders."

Oxford Dress Shoes - Do you cringe at the thought of spending all day in high heels? Then consider a men's style lace-up oxford. These shoes look dressy, but are super comfortable and much easier to run around in than wedges or heels. Wear these with soft, romantic fabrics for added visual interest. "Pair oxford dress shoes with chiffon dresses and skirts for an unexpected touch," says Rygorsky.

Trousers - Are you in a skinny jean rut? Denim is great, but oh-so-easy to fall back on as an everyday go-to. Instead, try switching things up with a pair of menswear-inspired trousers. "These type of pants look amazing with a fitted top -- even a plain white tank will do the trick," says Rygorsky. "Roll the cuffs up a couple of times, throw on a dangly necklace, then add some fun high heeled pumps and you're all set."

Plaid Tweed - Plaid prints and tweed fabrics are a match made in fashion heaven, and these two styles look especially fabulous for fall. "Plaid and tweed go beautifully with blue jeans or a skinny pant," says Sanders. But the key is choosing one color within the plaid pattern (like light pink or blue) and pairing with similar colors, like a pink blouse or blue denim. This will make the outfit fresh and young -- not head to-toe drab like an old professor.

And last but not the least. Button down shirts. Don’t forget those as this is the most popular menswear inspired women’s clothing. What I like most about it, is that you can do many styles with it. Endless possibilities.

Luckily, menswear style is a huge 2012 fall fashion trend. Especially those button down shirts since big brands such as Equipment Signature Clothing are specializing in it. So now is a perfect time to take a break from the girly-girl dresses and try out the tailored, polished menswear fashion trend. Just remember. To pull of a menswear inspired women’s clothing without looking like your grandfather or your boyfriend, "You want to make sure your outfit is menswear-inspired and not actual menswear - meaning give it a touch of girly accessories. It's all about mixing with feminine pieces." Enjoy!

Menswear Inspired Women's Clothing Symbolize Status

A long time ago, women don’t have the same rights as men. The opportunities at work as well as in everyday life are limited and unfair. Women wanted to get noticed in the corporate world especially and proved that they can do whatever men do. Along with working her butt off and quashing weaker-sex stereotypes, she donned a set of ham-sized shoulder pads, covered up in button down shirts, and boxed her figure in a straight skirt and oversized blazer. This starts everything with menswear inspired women’s clothing and it is indeed a symbol of status quo.

Since lapping up the realm of menswear two decades ago, the “fairer sex” has never turned back. Creased trousers, fitted blazers, crisp button-downs — all staples in the closet of the woman who wants to be taken seriously. But this season, fashion has taken those staples and let them flourish in the limelight. Check out a list of our favorite menswear inspired women’s clothing.

Button-Down Shirts, Knits & Pinstripes
To master menswear, begin with your basics: the button-down shirt and the crease-front trouser. These unisex garments, in a trimmer, more feminine physique, easily transfer from his closet to yours. Up top, layering’s the word and knitwear, vests and blazers work their masculine magic. Over a flirtified dress shirt with ruffle-front detailing, slip into a heather-gray cable-knit V-neck that’s aglow in academia. A pinstripe button-down will fall in love with a sweater vest, and a crisp white shirt is begging to be tucked into a waistcoat.

Vests & Blazers
For button-up vests, masculine shapes that date back to when chained pocket watches were a necessity are seen from a feminine perspective, resulting in tailored and trim pieces that flatter a lady’s curves. Single or double-breasted, these miniature vests are painted in the season’s palette – tweed, herringbone and plaid — and are lined in signature menswear shirting.
Though not new to your wardrobe, blazers are playing a lead role in your borrowed-from-the boys production. In luxurious tweeds and herringbone, these classic pieces are seeing leather and corduroy elbow patches and a slimmed, sleek line. Black tux jackets (velvet optional) provide a red-carpet option – or at least the laywoman’s version – for dressing up while dipping delightfully into menswear.

Plaid, Herringbone, Tab Details & Oversize Buttons
Combine manly with girly by dousing a ruffle-back skirt in bold black and red plaid, or pair herringbone up top with a pair of cropped trousers equipped with tab details and oversized buttons. Those mysteriously adorable (yet wildly impractical) formal short-shorts can also work here, but wrap your lower limbs in opaque hosiery and slip your feet into something flat.

Dashing Trench Coats & Fedoras
Style’s love affair with menswear inspired women’s clothing hasn’t left you out in the cold – bundle up for the chilly season in classic coats that whisper of dashing detectives, feathered fedoras and dark alleys. The trench coat has been suped up with the signature masculine fabrics, while feminine curves are drawn with empire waistlines and ribbon-tie belts. The traditional trench is not to be forgotten, though, giving you the houndstooth-, plaid- and tweed-free option of a sandy beige or warm taupe. Keeping in tune to our desire to give the boy-borrowed pieces a much-needed slice, this season features oodles of cropped jackets with shortened hemlines and sleeves. Most stunning in a bold, inflated black-and-white herringbone print, these round-collar jacket often come to a single-button close and succeed at being both dashing and adorable.

Be Careful In Wearing Button Down Shirts and Other Menswear Inspired Fashion

It’s pretty easy to cross the line from menswear-inspired to just plain dressing in drag especially if you are wearing button down shirts (which is usually oversized and baggy), and once you cross said line, you quickly go from sexy to dowdy and just a tad confused-looking. But we’ve been hugely in love with menswear-inspired womenswear for a while now, so get ready for a whole lot of tricks and ideas to style it. In this article, we will particularly discuss how to style your button down shirts whether it’s just a shirt or a shirt dress.

• When wearing leggings or even some jeggings with your button down shirts, make sure that your bum is fully covered at all times as otherwise people may catch a glimpse of your underwear line! This definitely takes away the appeal of the shirts or shirtdress so please avoid it.
• If your shirtdress is not fitted it is a good idea to wear a belt with it. Although you may think that a non-fitted shirt makes you look thinner, that is actually not the case and a belt will actually make you look better, especially if you have curves.
• Wear the belt under your bust area.
• If you choose to wear a belt, make sure that it suits your body shape. Generally, thinner belts look good on those with a bigger build while smaller women look great in the thicker belts.
• Be careful about your footwear choice as it can often make or break you!
• Don't wear socks, especially in another colour, with leggings and flats.
• Do not over accessorize (i.e. thick belt, bright scarf, and a loud necklace.)
• Don't buy into the lie that bigger girls can't go for this trend! This style can look just as beautiful on plumper bodies. In fact, the more curves the better as the shirtdress with a belt really accentuates that body feature.
• If you’re just starting out, try a wool short instead of full-on wide-leg pants for button down shirts. Make sure they’re not too short– slouchy and at least mid-thigh is a good rule of thumb– or you’ll just look slutty.
• If you do something simple like roll up the sleeves a couple times and add a girl tie and maybe a chunky cuff bracelet to make it a bit more playful – it would make the out more exciting. You can also pick a somewhat sweet blouse that has built-in detailing. The bow at the neck is adorable and would look great with a brooch stuck through the center. Bonus points if the brooch is vintage.
• Ditch the flats for killer heels with a manly twist. And, of course, you’ll need some opaque tights to keep from looking like a moron wearing tights in the winter.
• You’ll want your bag to skew towards the masculine side of feminine like some pouch handbags with something fairly solid with heavier details.

So those are some tips on how to wear button down shirts and other menswear inspired fashions without looking like your grandfather or boyfriend. Remember, it is menswear inspired but you still need to look very elegant and sexy.

5 Ways To Wear Your Button Down Shirts

Women always look super chic in menswear. It’s the sense of comfort and elegance combine together that makes it so popular. The current boyfriend jacket, oxford shirt and button down shirts are nothing new: style icons like Bianca Jagger, Marlene Dietrich and Katharine Hepburn show the look has been around for quite some time. Hot young stars like Alexa Chung, Agyness Deyn and Janelle Monae show that menswear is still in today. So do you want to rock a menswear inspired fashion today? Of course you do and there’s no other way to start it than to start with a Classic button shirt.

Button down shirts have this timeless appeal. It was introduced in the 70’s by a brand called Equipment signature clothing and that had brand had been huge eversince. What I like the most about it is that you can style it in so many different ways. Today I am going to discuss five ways on how to make your standard button down shirts more exciting and more eye catching. These are just 5 of the infinite possibilities.

1. Electrify your neutrals
The shot of super-peppy pink keeps a cute little group of brown and beige pieces from feeling too quiet. So make sure to pair your button downs with neutral color blazers or bottoms. Neautral plus a colorful shirt is totally awesome.

2. Go bright-on-bright
A punchy, pretty take on ladies-who-lunch style: pair your button-downs with a bold jacket (in the same color family) and trouser-style jeans. This makes sure that you would not clash colors.

3. Prep yourself!
Welcome to your coolest weekend ever: cargos, a hint of silky shirt blouses peeking out from your fave cabled sweater, and old-school shades. The cherry on bottom: sparkly loafers! You will be to preppy you would want to go back to school.

4. Be proper yet funky
Pair it under a peplum blouse, the shirt adds a touch of fun while still looking structured and sleek. This is by far my favorite look.

5. Get retro-pretty
With a charmingly patterned full skirt, the effect is classic yet refreshingly flirty. Going retro is a trend that is coming back today. So you wouldn’t want to miss styling your shirts like this.

Button down shirts and a few versatile accessories will help you transition to any kind of style you would wish without a major wardrobe overhaul. That is what I love about button downs. So shop for one now. It is definitely a fashion must have.

I know shopping is not men’s thing. But I can tell you, there are two things that men loves to shop for (and even window shop) – any kinds of tools/hardware and shoes. Men’s shoes are men’s fashion craving. They believe that a great shoe can complete any look and can get you anywhere. Having said that, I’ve made a list of the most popular types of men’s shoes to shop for. So if you are shopping for men’s shoes, include these in your shopping list.

Saddle Shoes – A casual oxford shoe, the saddle shoe is distinctive because it utilizes a layer of leather over the instep that is normally a different color than the rest of the shoe, thus classifying it as a casual but stylish choice.

Boat Shoes or Top Siders – Made to be worn on a boat to prevent slipping, they have migrated from the docks of Boston to the wardrobes of men looking for a summer shoe that can be worn without socks. Available in a variety of colors, the men’s boat shoe comes in a moccasin style and is only for warm weather.

Canvas Shoes – Sneakers come in a wide variety of styles and colors, however the rules of wearing them outside of the gym are universal. Canvas shoes had been around for quite a while now and are really making a fashion statement in runways and street alike. When clean and situation appropriate, they work well with chinos, jeans, and shorts.

Athletic Shoes - Running shoes, basketball shoes, tennis shoes–you would think the occasions for which these were meant to be worn would be clear. Yet we persist in wearing our white running shoes everywhere, declaring it a right because they are comfortable. I counter this argument by saying that many of us are too lazy to take the time to think outside the box and select a casual shoe that looks sharp and is comfortable. They definitely exist.

Hiking Boots – Hiking boots are designed to support the ankles, provide cushion, and protect from the elements, while still being light enough to not impede stamina. Boots that meet all this criteria are an outdoorsman’s delight; those that fail can turn a trip into a painful lesson of why quality matters.

Western Boots – Growing up in West Texas, I have a special place in my heart for western boots. Functionally, they serve the purpose of keeping a man in his saddle, protecting him from the terrain, and if taken care of, they can last as long as his horse. But that’s the issue–most of us don’t require this functionality and wrestle with the issue of whether or not we deserve to wear something so idealized by our culture.

Oxford Shoes - An Oxford is a style of laced shoe characterized by shoelace eyelet tabs that are stitched underneath the vamp. Oxfords are traditionally constructed of leather and were historically plain, formal shoes but are now available in a range of styles and materials that complement both casual and formal forms of dress. Every man needs oxford men’s shoes for formal occasion.

Tips For Shopping Men's Shoes

I’ve known men and women who have extensive wardrobes of shoes, those who have match for every pair of clothing they have. But sadly, I also know many men who don’t know how to choose the right shoe for them. Their men’s shoes are either too big or small for them, not appropriate for the occasion or just plainly sucks. For example, many men I've known who have had to wear work-type boots for their jobs also had a tendency to stick with that style of footwear after work hours. Other guys I know avoid certain clothes and events because sneakers would be considered inappropriate for the outfit or occasion. If this sounds like you or someone you know, then you'll want to keep reading for some general tips on choosing men's shoes.

General Rules for Men's Shoes
- Try to pick a shoe that matches, or is darker than your pants.
- Although it is a safe bet, socks do not need to match your shoes. Instead, think of your socks as you would a tie - an item that can bring bring the whole outfit together.
- If wearing a belt, try to match your shoes to it, unless of course, your belt is some multi-colored striped thing.

Men's Shoes for Jeans
You can wear almost any color or style of shoe with jeans, but avoid very shiny shoes that were obviously intended for more dressier outfits. Boots, lug soles, sneakers, loafers and sandals all work great with jeans, so you may find it helpful to let the style of your shirt guide you. For example, a sporty, polo shirt might work with a loafer; t-shirts go well with sneakers or retro-style shoes; long, artsy button-downs work well with sandals or contemporary styles.

Men's Shoes for Casual Pants
Whether you call them Dockers, chinos, or khakis, there are a variety of loafers, oxford and other men's shoes that work well with casual pants. Let the ornamentation and style of the shoe guide you towards the look you're trying to achieve. For example, a tassle or a buckle is a little more on the dressy side, while a woven pattern or heavy stitching is a little more on the casual side.

Men's Shoes for Dress Pants
With dress pants, shoot for the same type of shoe that you might wear with a suit. Shinier materials usually indicate a dressier shoe, as do less bulky heels and soles. Choose a shoe that is the same color or darker than your pants, and if wearing a belt, match your shoes to it.

Color Matching for Men's Shoes

- Black shoes work well with navy, grey or black pants.
- Brown shoes are best suited to tan, brown, beige, greens, other darker earth tones.
- Burgundy shoes work well with khaki, lighter browns, blue and grey.
- Tan shoes look great with lighter earth tones, blue, beige, lighter tan or white.

Men's Shoes Latest Trends

Women just can’t get enough of handbags or clothes. Well for us men, it’s shoes. We are crazy for shoes! Whether it is athletic shoes or oxford shoes, we would love to have lots of pairs in our wardrobes. Based on experience, us guys can go out of and shop for the best men’s shoes in town regardless of the price And why not? Shoes look super sexy on any outfit, and make us look very charming, handsome, dynamic and hot!

Before I shop for men’s shoes, I also make sure that I know the latest trends. And it is no secret color and pattern are going to dominate men’s fashion this coming season. Designers and fashion stores all confirm that. Below I have showcased the 3 main trends of men’s shoes available this year, for the modern man who isn’t afraid to get their feet stuck in and let their shoes do the talking these styles are for you.

1. Pop Color Shoes

Of the three main colored footwear trends, I believe this is the one that will have the most wide-spread appeal. Although bright, exuberant and eye-catching, pop color shoes are the easiest to integrate within an outfit, and depending on the color chosen, will complement the existing wardrobe of most modern men.

2. Two-Tone Shoes - Two-tone shoes, or the co-respondent shoe as they are occasionally known, are making a big comeback this season. Recently featured in GQ’s shoes supplement, two-tone footwear is proving hugely popular – especially in brogue silhouettes, where the leather panels are constructed in contrasting shades to create a fantastic visual impact. I think the use of two-tone coloring in brogue styles creates a sense of classicism and conjures up images of the American gangster eras of the 1920s and 30s – the spats-style shoes were very prevalent back then. One thing I will say is that if you opt for this choice of footwear; be aware of your surrounding pieces. For optimal success (and less chance of a color-clash headache), if your shoes are bold in color, keep the socks and accompanying outfit stripped back and simple – really let the statement shoes shine.

3. Patterned Shoes - Although the use of pattern in clothing has recently made a big impact on the catwalks and the high street, pattern use in footwear is also becoming more widespread.

Common prints that have been prominent so far come in the form of camouflage and animal prints. It is interesting how both of these choices have a direct link to the safari trend that is extending its influence in men’s shoes.

Personally, I think the pop colour trend is an easier one for the everyday man to pull off and integrate into their current wardrobe, whilst I also really like the sense of stylish classicism which accompanies the two-tone, co-respondent shoe. It is undeniable that these two men’s shoes trends are big in menswear this season. Injecting a bit of pattern or color into your footwear rather than the main body of your outfit will enable more reserved men to follow the trend in a more discrete way.

Five Must Have Men's Shoes This Year

Admit it! We guys actually love to look on fashion magazines for the latest styles, as much as women do. And just recently, I was definitely inspired by various fashion magazines take on men’s shoes. Men’s shoes this year are more adventurous and stylish than ever. The colors and the styles, I just love it! Having said that, I made a list of the top five must have men’s shoes this year. Check it out.

1. A Pair Of White Converse - They’re a classic shoe that has been in fashion for over 100 years and would definitely be around for the next 100 years or more. A canvas pair are definitely summer appropriate but an all white leather pair will also prove to be more versatile and easier to dress up. Don’t be afraid to let them get a bit scuffed up too.

2. A Suede Loafer - Now if last summer taught us anything, it was that suede was back in a big way. Spring/summer 2012 will see the industry build further on this influx of premium material footwear, with an even larger variety of colors and styles coming to the market. This year, why not get a bit more adventurous and pick a loafer; my personal favorite will be a tassel loafer (another key style to watch for the coming season) in a rich chocolate brown that will go perfectly with a pair of dark jeans or white chinos.

3. A Buck Shoe - Often made from soft brushed suede – or if you search hard enough, buckskin – this shoe really is the perfect spring addition. They come in a standard Derby lace up style but due to their material can be dressed down with chinos and are the perfect partner for those of you who like to go for the preppy shorts and blazers look. The brilliant thing about this style of shoe is that they will look better and better the more worn in and beat up they get (much like your desert boots). For whatever reason suede currently has a reputation as a precious fabric that must never get dirty, when in fact it really is quite a durable material. Let yourself go and let your suede live a little!

4. Double Monkstrap Shoes - They officially blew up across the pond last year and are now making their way over to the world. This is great news because they are my favorite style of men’s shoes at the moment. The two buckle straps add a great piece of detail to an otherwise standard Derby silhouette, and they really allow you a chance to express yourself. Go patent black leather for a classy option on a night out/spring wedding, or keep things simple with brown in either leather or suede and wear them with absolutely everything.

5. A Pair Of Black Sandals - Sometimes with all the options out there, we neglect the basics. Every guy needs a pair of sandals at the ready for that last minute weekend getaway to the coast. Sandals are still the perfect wear for very casual events.

So there you have the five must have men’s shoes this year. Make sure to include this in your shopping list because this can make your outfit stand out.

Your Favorite Men's Shirts

In the last hundred years, a range of different shirt styles have proven popular with men of all ages - and men's shirts fashion today shows no sign of bucking this trend. For many, the average men's shirt is simply a garment of utility - one that is worn by men across the world for reasons of function and not necessarily fashion. But this attitude belies the hundreds of years of trends in men's shirts. From the typical collarless shirts with billowing sleeves worn by classical painters to the modern formal button-down shirt, men's shirts have captured the imaginations of both designers and ordinary men for generations. In the twentieth century in particular, a range of different shirt styles have proved popular with men of all ages.

1. Polo Shirt - One of the most important developments in men's shirts over the last hundred years, for example, has been the invention of the polo shirt. The polo shirt, or 'tennis shirt', was created by legendary French tennis player Rene Lacoste in 1929 as an alternative to the stiff dress shirts and ties typical of tennis attire at the time. And since this time the polo shirt has become so popular that it is now a standard category of clothing. Check out this great polo shirt I saw at Guess just recently. The Meadow Slub Short-Sleeve Polo Shirt. Update your polo collection with this laid-back striped style that features a soft slub feel. Its cool mix of East coast meets West coast gives you an easygoing look of casual prep.

2. Grand Dad Shirt - has also been a long lasting trend in men's shirts in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. These collarless shirts have been popular with men in warm countries for decades and have seen a variety of incarnations throughout the years. Today's granddad shirt preys on bright colors and an ethno-bohemian vibe that appeals to a variety of men's fashion trends - from festival clothing to smart casual summer wear.

3. Button-down shirt - has also been one of the most influential men's shirts in fashion history - but memories of how it was created tend to be somewhat hazy. Some fashion experts claim that the button-down collar shirt was invented by an American shirt manufacturer who was inspired by an English polo match. Others say that button-down shirts were created in New York, when their inventor attached his collar to his shirt with buttons in a fit of annoyance at the oncoming wind. But whatever the origin of the button-down shirt, its impact on the men's shirt industry has been historic, as button down shirts are now worn in both formal and casual contexts. Check out this great button down shirt I’ve found at Guess. Multi Sidewinder Long-Sleeve Shirt - Sunset-inspired colors and vintage-style snap buttons give this shirt distinctive appeal. Try it alone with distressed, slim-fit jeans or as a second layer over a basic tee. Any way you wear it, you’re sure to look and feel good.

Today, men's shirts are more experimental. They are often worn with skinny jeans, large belts and tailored waistcoats for a fresh and informal look that still exudes smart chic. And with men's shirts available in a variety of colors - from grey to raspberry - and in a variety of floral and striped patterns, it's clear that evolving trends in men's fashion are far from over.

Step Out With Style With The Right Men's Shirts

T-shirts are the most common men’s shirts. A men’s wardrobe without t-shirts is not a wardrobe at all. A t-shirt is a kind of shirt that comes with no collar, no cuffs and no buttons. It usually has short sleeves and a round neck. It was originally intended to be a piece of innerwear. However, with time and ever-transforming fashion trends, it has now become the most popular choice of outerwear for most casual occasions. And today, Men's t-shirts can be classified into different styles based on their fit, size, shape and even material quality. Let’s take a look into the most popular men’s shirts and its different styles.

Sleeves - Men's t-shirts were originally designed to have short sleeves, but now they are manufactured with short sleeves, long sleeves and even without sleeves. Simple round necked t-shirts with short sleeves are light, comfortable and casual. T-shirts with long sleeves can be worn during the colder seasons. Both of these can be paired with jeans for an informal look. Sleeveless t-shirts (also known as singlets or vests) were popularized by athletes, but are now considered acceptable during the summer months. They can be paired with cotton shorts or track pants to be worn outdoors or at home.

Fitting - Slim-fit men's t-shirts are designed to hug the contours of the body. Wide-fit ones, on the other hand, are loose and hang off the body casually. Slim fir t-shirts are very popular now, and suit men, who are lean and well-built. Those who are slightly heavier in build can opt for a wide-fit t-shirt and slightly baggy jeans to avoid calling attention to their bulk.

Neck Styles - The original t-shirt with its simple round neck is not the only one available anymore. There are several men's t-shirt styles that have different necklines. The most common of them is the tennis shirt (also known as the polo shirt or the golf shirt) is a t-shirt with a collar, with two or three buttons, and sometimes a pocket on the chest. Polo shirts are generally made of knitted cloth or pique cotton (as opposed to other normal t-shirts that are made of woven cloth). They were popularised by golfers and tennis players because the knitted cloth allows the skin to breathe easily even outdoors and the buttons can be loosened for greater physical comfort. A similar shirt, known as the rugby shirt, has a polo neck but long sleeves. They have smaller collars and bear logos on the front and back. A variant of the polo shirt is the one with a polo neck, which has a high collar that fold over the neck. It is for this reason that the polo neck is also known as the turtle neck. Turtle necks were originally used in sweaters, but are now fashionable in t-shirts too.

If you are looking to buy a new T-shirt, I suggest you check out Guess. Their collection of men’s shirts are very trendy You can shop for t-shirts, button down shirts, cardigans and more. You can never run out of choices when it comes to Guess.

Colorful Men's Shirts Are The New Trend

It’s spring time! And with spring comes bright and lively colors. That is why nowadays, colorful men’s shirts are taking over the runways as well as the streets, and I’m totally into it! I always love men who are able to wear colorful men’s shirts and still look cool. I adore how they rock those outfits because some men cant. There’s a fine line between looking super stylish and looking like an eccentric daytime TV presenter you know. If you are one of those guys who want to wear colorful shirts but are afraid look like a rainbow, here are a few simple rules to follow will have you looking suave and confident.

Go for a checkered shirt - If block colored mens shirts are a bit too much for your style but you want to add a different look to your wardrobe then go for checks. Checkered shirts are very on trend and there are loads of different styles to choose from. Checkered shirts break up the color so are a less daunting option than block colors. Many checkered shirts might not be smart enough for the office but they do look fantastic with jeans and a hoodie for a weekend look. Check out this great checkered shirt I’ve found at Guess.

Pearson Long-Sleeve Shirt is washed for an extra soft feel, this flannel checkered shirt features embroidered detail and pearlescent snap buttons for an authentic retro look. Available in two of the season’s best colors, this shirt is a must.

Coordinate your colors - When you choose brightly colored men’s shirts you need to keep in mind what you’ll wear them with. Generally a black suit or jacket will go with just about anything and grey tailoring would suit a pink or light orange shirt in particular. Blues and greens are far easier to wear than more vibrant shades such as red so if you’re unsure start out with slightly brighter tones of colored men’s shirts than you would normally wear to slowly build up your confidence. Check out this Guess shirt jacket I’ve found for you. It can blend into any shirts that you want to pair it to.

Marino Shirt Jacket - This thickly constructed shirt will keep you extra warm and on trend. Long sleeve shirt jacket features zipper and snap button closures hidden by solid placket. Two chest pockets. Shoulder tabs.

Choose your accessories wisely - Bold colors speak for themselves so avoid jazzing up an already loud shirt with fancy accessories or other items of clothing. Cardigans in muted colors work well over most colored mens shirts for a smart weekend. One of my favorite cardigan is here at Guess. Check this out.

Donovan Long-Sleeve Cardigan - The perfect way to top off a layered look, this laid-back cardigan has mixed textures and a distinctive pigment wash.

Spring time is all about having fun. So don’t be afraid to shop for colorful mens shirts. Inject some color into your look and choose from the range of colored men’s shirts available online.

Casual Men's Shirts Can Make You Stand Out

So you think casual men’s shirts are so casual that it cant make you stand out from the rest? Well, you’re wrong with that. Casual wear is often mistaken for laid back clothing style. Jeans and T-shirt, that’s it. But with the right casual wear, you can really stand out. Casual men’s shirts can help you make a cool style statement even at the office. Yes, you can wear casual at te office. Casual clothing is undoubtedly the most comfortable form on clothing. These days, even some corporate companies are embracing this dress code for its sheer comfort. However, the casual dress code demanded at such companies is far too different from our usual impression of casual wear. Casual clothing varies as per the demand of the profession or the formality of the occasion.

Business Casual

Business casual wear is more on the formal side of dressing. This is usually the dress code for corporate companies that do not deal in customer service or front desk client service. Employees are exempted from dressing up formally in pinstriped suits and shiny shoes. Casual business dress code essentially means dressing up in comfortable clothing while still maintaining a professional look. Button down shirts with or without tie and trousers or chinos are considered appropriate business casual attire. One can wear sneakers or loafers with business casual attire for men. A classic leather belt, watch and a good men's bag is a must with this attire. The other grooming requirements for men such as neat facial hair, hygiene, etc. need to be satisfied with a business casual attire as well.

Smart Casual

Smart casual dress code is something you might wear on a night out with friends or a casual evening with colleagues at a coffee shop. You can wear jeans and T-shirt and throw a sports jacket over your shirt for a smart casual look. However, not just any pair of jeans can help you achieve this look. You might feel extremely comfortable in your baggy jeans and sports jersey, however, it is best to save these pieces of men's clothing for watching a football match at the local club. Invest in a classic pair of jeans in basic colors such as blue. Since, straight cut never goes out of fashion, a well-fitted straight jeans is a must have in your wardrobe. Team this classic jeans with a polo neck T-shirt or full sleeves T-shirt. You can also go for khakis, corduroys or any non-denim slacks if you wish. Floaters, loafers or sneakers, anything can go well with this attire. Do not forget a nice leather belt in matching or complementing color.

Cool Casual Wear

This dressing style is pretty much closer to the general notion of casual dressing. Cool casual dress code is something you wear on fishing trips, Sunday afternoon outings or summer evenings. You can afford to wear shorts, a comfy T-shirt and flip-flops! For a more decent look opt for a pair of jeans and an open neck shirt. Team your attire with sneakers and a pair of nice sunglasses. A V-neck full sleeves shirt with khakis or corduroys also looks very chic. Throw a jacket over, while stepping out on chilly evenings. Another classic idea for men's casual wear is wearing a blue well-fitted jeans with a white open neck shirt. You cannot possibly go wrong with this combination.

Casual men’s shirts can really make you stand out mainly because it allows you to make your personal style statement. You can play with colors, fabrics, cuts to find out which one suits you the most. So shop for casual men’s shirts today and dress to impress.

Boho Pants - The Floral Prints

Floral prints are everywhere in summer. It is the perfect boho pants that boho women can rock. Then again, the common problem of boho chic when wearing this is that people said that they look like they are wearing curtains. Then there is the problem of some prints being flattering. Large prints and wide horizontal stripes make anyone look fat. If you are already big, some prints can make you look bigger.

Yet prints are practical. Unlike clothes in plain fabrics, stains don't show up as easily on prints. Especially if you wear small prints. The myriad of colors and patterns in typical small flower prints hide stains easily. On top of that, small prints do not have the fattening effect their big cousins display, so bigger women can get away with outfits that feature tiny prints. While petite women might look overpowered by large prints, dainty patterns look great on them too. Maybe the leggy, Amazonian types can get away with big floral prints. (Those women can wear sackcloth and look stunning anyway). But us ordinary mortals should stick to smaller prints if we want to wear florals.

If you are afraid of looking like you are wearing someone's curtains, go for classy materials that no one would use for curtains. Wear printed silk boho pants (which the best ones I have found at Johnny Was) that flow over your body. Or you might want to go for graphic prints. Color block outfits look great on everyone and can be extremely flattering. Some very classy dresses use color panels on the sides of the dresses to create the optical illusion of a slimmer figure.

If you want something sexier, try animal prints. These are classics and appeal to the basic animal instinct. Animal prints like zebra, leopard, tiger or new fangled hybrids of artificial fur that are deliberately created to avoid mix up with real fur (which enrage animal rights activists) are plain sexy. Wear them in a dress a sultry look. If that is too much for you, animal print pants, top paired with something plain would give you that sultry temptress look without looking as if you tried too hard. If you want something more subtle, try an animal print accessory like a bag or scarf.

Floral prints and animal prints are great for play, but might be too playful for work. Especially if you work in a conservative environment. Still, you can indulge in prints, even if you work in a bank. Try a pin-striped blouse with your suit which looks professional enough for the boardroom.

Someone said that rules are made to be broken. And boho pants are one rule that I want to break all the time. I love to wear printed floral boho pants and the key to looking great is to wear what looks great on you which you can carry off as the occasion requires.

Printed Floral Boho Pants For You

Lately, floral printed pants had been taking the fashion world by storm. What started as a runway fantasy has now become a wearable trend. And for Boho chics, printed floral pants are the ultimate boho pants. There are floral prints for everyone and the best thing to remember is to keep the print small and monochromatic if you are worried about looking too bold. Keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple and definitely keep the pants slim and tailored. Or you can also wear wide leg comfortable pants that make you look like you’ve left your house in fashionable pajamas. Take a look below for my favorite ways to style print bottoms.

Prints are a fun and easy way to liven up your everyday wardrobe. Printed pants have the same comfort and fit as your favorite pair of jeans or slacks, but feature the added bonus of flattering colors and fashionable patterns. The best part about the printed pants trend is that it’s super easy to pull off just by following a few simple rules.

The first tip to follow is to watch the size of the prints. Large prints will draw the eye in, which is best for those who want to show off their toned or long legs. While taller women can pull off the large prints, smaller patterns look best on petite body types. You may need to try on a few different pairs to see which looks best on your body type.

Another thing to take into mind is the fit and length of the pants. Tailored and skinny versions can be worn with almost any type of top, whereas a wide-legged trouser or loose pant looks best paired with a fitted blouse or tee. The most flattering length is one that hits right at the ankles, so save the cropped or extra-long versions for when you’re feeling adventurous. To avoid the pants looking like pajamas, add pieces such as a structured blazer or your favorite pair of heels for a day-to-night look.

After you’ve taken into consideration the size of the prints, it’s important to look at the color choices. With more colorful prints, it’s best to keep your top a neutral shade to balance out the brightness. The main tip for choosing a color scheme is to make sure it is wearable with your current wardrobe staples- you want to get as much use out of your printed pants as possible!

To keep it safe, avoid over-accessorizing your printed pants look. A chic bag and set of bangles are great, but a loud statement necklace or printed scarf will draw attention away from the pants. It’s always best to start off small, so try a simple print such as delicate flowers or cute polka dots. Once you’ve mastered this look, you can move onto bolder prints such as tribal-inspired or leopard.

Feeling bold? Try mixing two different types of prints- such as floral bottoms with a simple striped top. Just make sure both items are in the same color scheme or you’ll end up looking like you got dressed in the dark. With a little bit of experimentation and a whole lot of trial-and-error, you’re sure to find the perfect pair of printed boho pants that work for you. Happy shopping!

Weighted Women’s Vest

Women today are enjoying their workout while wearing weighted women’s vest, at least for sport-specific and general fitness training for women. Wearing a weighted vest adds mass to the body, forcing your muscles to overcome this extra resistance with every movement.

While the weighted vest is worn for training, the sport benefits occur when your performance is measured without it. The ground benefits that you can have when wearing this women’s vest include increased muscular strength and endurance.

The use of this kind of women’s vest is based on the overload principle. In order for gains in strength and endurance to occur, your body must work at a load that is beyond normal. This is because with every move that you make, your central nervous system thinks that your weight has increased. Additional muscle fibers are recruited to overcome the additional resistance of the weighted vest.

Weight training targets specific muscle areas while the weighted vest distributes the extra resistance evenly throughout your body. Resulting in strength gains occurring in many muscle groups, walking and jogging strengthens the lower body muscles. Your core, abdominal and muscled in your lower back contract to maintain proper posture while wearing the vest.

Women’s vest has definitely gone a long way, aside from providing fashion and trendy new styles. These weighted vests help by promoting a leaner and healthier body when women go on workouts. They are worn just like any other women’s vest on the torso. The vest has a nylon covering with inserts to place cylindrical weights in the front and back to evenly distribute the weight. Velcro straps custom fit the vest to your body. Weight resistance capacity ranges from 10 to 100 lbs.
Suggested starting weight is two percent of your body weight, working up to 10 percent.

If you want to try this one out, you should first consult your physician before starting with a fitness program. Initial training should occur without the weighted vest to build a strength foundation. When wearing the vest, start with a lighter weight for use with everyday activities to maintain proper posture and alignment before performing training activities. Postural deviations while wearing the vest may lead to injury.

The study that was conducted at Texas Tech university features the use of this vest for track and field athletes. When comparing vertical jump performances, the athletes that used the weight vests during plyometric, or power training, experienced a significant improvement in their vertical leap compared to those athletes who didn’t.
