Boho Pants - The Floral Prints

Floral prints are everywhere in summer. It is the perfect boho pants that boho women can rock. Then again, the common problem of boho chic when wearing this is that people said that they look like they are wearing curtains. Then there is the problem of some prints being flattering. Large prints and wide horizontal stripes make anyone look fat. If you are already big, some prints can make you look bigger.

Yet prints are practical. Unlike clothes in plain fabrics, stains don't show up as easily on prints. Especially if you wear small prints. The myriad of colors and patterns in typical small flower prints hide stains easily. On top of that, small prints do not have the fattening effect their big cousins display, so bigger women can get away with outfits that feature tiny prints. While petite women might look overpowered by large prints, dainty patterns look great on them too. Maybe the leggy, Amazonian types can get away with big floral prints. (Those women can wear sackcloth and look stunning anyway). But us ordinary mortals should stick to smaller prints if we want to wear florals.

If you are afraid of looking like you are wearing someone's curtains, go for classy materials that no one would use for curtains. Wear printed silk boho pants (which the best ones I have found at Johnny Was) that flow over your body. Or you might want to go for graphic prints. Color block outfits look great on everyone and can be extremely flattering. Some very classy dresses use color panels on the sides of the dresses to create the optical illusion of a slimmer figure.

If you want something sexier, try animal prints. These are classics and appeal to the basic animal instinct. Animal prints like zebra, leopard, tiger or new fangled hybrids of artificial fur that are deliberately created to avoid mix up with real fur (which enrage animal rights activists) are plain sexy. Wear them in a dress a sultry look. If that is too much for you, animal print pants, top paired with something plain would give you that sultry temptress look without looking as if you tried too hard. If you want something more subtle, try an animal print accessory like a bag or scarf.

Floral prints and animal prints are great for play, but might be too playful for work. Especially if you work in a conservative environment. Still, you can indulge in prints, even if you work in a bank. Try a pin-striped blouse with your suit which looks professional enough for the boardroom.

Someone said that rules are made to be broken. And boho pants are one rule that I want to break all the time. I love to wear printed floral boho pants and the key to looking great is to wear what looks great on you which you can carry off as the occasion requires.

Printed Floral Boho Pants For You

Lately, floral printed pants had been taking the fashion world by storm. What started as a runway fantasy has now become a wearable trend. And for Boho chics, printed floral pants are the ultimate boho pants. There are floral prints for everyone and the best thing to remember is to keep the print small and monochromatic if you are worried about looking too bold. Keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple and definitely keep the pants slim and tailored. Or you can also wear wide leg comfortable pants that make you look like you’ve left your house in fashionable pajamas. Take a look below for my favorite ways to style print bottoms.

Prints are a fun and easy way to liven up your everyday wardrobe. Printed pants have the same comfort and fit as your favorite pair of jeans or slacks, but feature the added bonus of flattering colors and fashionable patterns. The best part about the printed pants trend is that it’s super easy to pull off just by following a few simple rules.

The first tip to follow is to watch the size of the prints. Large prints will draw the eye in, which is best for those who want to show off their toned or long legs. While taller women can pull off the large prints, smaller patterns look best on petite body types. You may need to try on a few different pairs to see which looks best on your body type.

Another thing to take into mind is the fit and length of the pants. Tailored and skinny versions can be worn with almost any type of top, whereas a wide-legged trouser or loose pant looks best paired with a fitted blouse or tee. The most flattering length is one that hits right at the ankles, so save the cropped or extra-long versions for when you’re feeling adventurous. To avoid the pants looking like pajamas, add pieces such as a structured blazer or your favorite pair of heels for a day-to-night look.

After you’ve taken into consideration the size of the prints, it’s important to look at the color choices. With more colorful prints, it’s best to keep your top a neutral shade to balance out the brightness. The main tip for choosing a color scheme is to make sure it is wearable with your current wardrobe staples- you want to get as much use out of your printed pants as possible!

To keep it safe, avoid over-accessorizing your printed pants look. A chic bag and set of bangles are great, but a loud statement necklace or printed scarf will draw attention away from the pants. It’s always best to start off small, so try a simple print such as delicate flowers or cute polka dots. Once you’ve mastered this look, you can move onto bolder prints such as tribal-inspired or leopard.

Feeling bold? Try mixing two different types of prints- such as floral bottoms with a simple striped top. Just make sure both items are in the same color scheme or you’ll end up looking like you got dressed in the dark. With a little bit of experimentation and a whole lot of trial-and-error, you’re sure to find the perfect pair of printed boho pants that work for you. Happy shopping!
