Equipment Clothing – The Story

I’ve got the chance to know the story behind my recently favorite brand – Equipment. Equipment clothes are very close to my heart because as a fashionista, I don’t really like the all chic and girly style (the skirts, flowers things). And thus, Equipment clothing provides me with men’s wear turn into women’s wear without losing the elegance and chic. So for those of you who are also fans of Equipment, here is the story behind the brand’s success.

Back in 1975, women's fashion was on a roll, driven by a flourishing yet cautious ready-to-wear industry. smocks, blouses and tunics were all the rage... a flurry of silhouettes that christian restoin introduced men's shirts into women's wardrobes with the launch of his brand equipment - transforming a men's classic into a item of women's clothing with glam appeal. straightforward yet innovative, equipment, characterized by its refined tailoring and timeless appeal, quickly became a recognized name amongst the fashion elite. drawing his inspiration from american films of the 50s, from stars such as katherine hepburn and lauren bacall (who became one of his clients): the menswear inspired shirts became a worldwide success. committed to maintaining the quality and simplicity of the brand, restoin chose to specialize in shirts and nothing but shirts, - letting the product speak for itself rather than laboring under delusions of grandeur. but after enjoying twenty years of the brands success, restoin moved on, wishing to pursue another phase of his career.

Today, serge azria, a visionary and well known name in the industry, who also owns the successful fashion lines joie and current/elliott, is re-launching the illustrious brand as ceo and creative director.

The new collection recalls the classic, minimalistic undertones of the equipment brand, fusing french sophistication with an air of effortlessly chic, laid-back, california style. timeless and innovative, the collection features modern androgynous silhouettes, discreet sexiness, luxe fabrics, unexpected details and feminine riffs on men's shirting. the range of prints, fabrics and silhouettes negotiate the many facets of the equipment woman: she is strong, chic, elegant, adventurous, sexy and is above all, classic.

Inspired and manifesting a modern perspective, the collection is infused with a freshness that propels the tried and true classic into the future of fashion. launched for spring 2010, this contemporary approach taken on the signature pieces pays homage to the legacy of the brand while maintaining the perfect balance of cool, understated elegance.

So do me a favor fashionistas and readers. Don’t miss out! Visit Equipment clothing official website today and take a look at their fabulous collection of silk shirts, oversized shirts and boyfriend’s shirt. Enjoy!

Equipment Clothing Reviews

Recently, I’ve been so hookup in Equipment Clothing Brand. Their “men’s wear style turn into women’s wear” is so trendy that I’ve been buying one piece of clothing from them twice a month. And I wonder if I’m the only one getting Gaga over Equipment clothing. Turns out I’m not. I’ve found some reviews on other fashionistas who are loving (and definitely rocking) equipment. Here are some of the feedbacks of actual buyers of Equipment clothing

- Their shirt’s are amazing, so amazing, in fact, I bought a second one three days after receiving the first one. I have one in an L in navy, it's slightly oversized and the length is perfect to wear with both leggings and skinny pants, plus it can be easily tucked into pants and skirts. The second I bought in na M in hibiscus which has a gorgeous color and is a bit more fitted. The fabric is amazing and the construction is perfect. If you want an excellent, basic button down shirt, Equipment clothing is the one to buy.

- Equipment clothing is awesome! As for sizing, order your normal size. Many people say to size down in Equipment blouses, but they are made to be oversized like a "boyfriend" fit. If you are busty at all and size down you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for a fitted blouse and are narrow in the hips/bust then sizing down is fine, but really not necessary.

- Perfect piece of clothing to brighten up an outfit. The shirt is really lightweight and looks amazing with black jeans.

- A blouse that stands on its own. Feels very comfortable but looks polished. Couldn't ask for more. Grey/gray is very rich color. Great on a blonde.

- I’m becoming a bit addicted to Equipment shirts - absolutely beautifully made, high quality and the softest, most buttery silk. I'd highly recommend, just buy smaller than you would normally in the Signature cut. I'm an Australian size 12 normally, and quite busty, so I'd typically choose a M or L in shirts. The L made me look like a kid who'd borrowed a grown-up's shirt. The M was pretty loose fit (OK over jeans, too much material with a pencil skirt) and the S - fits perfectly.

- This is a great brand that produces blouse and shirts for everyday look or for formal look- can be dressed up or down depending on what you pairs it with. Looks great tucked in or tucked out, and the material is very flowy and airy - perfect for summer.

- Even brighter in person. Beautiful and high quality silk, exactly what I expected from Equipment. However, runs large as everyone has reiterated.

Silk Tops – Why Many People Love It

There aren't a lot of natural fabrics that get as much attention as the fabric that is created by the silkworm. For over 5,000 years admiration has come to those that can posses this type of option for clothing and today is no different. While there have been some cultural shifts, the song remains the same, those that want to make their wardrobe stand out, can find a greatness in silk tops that others just simply can't match. If you're not sure about this notion, then consider some of the main points to looking into this type of textile for your clothes.

• Breathability - Unlike many other options, tops made of this type is important because when you're out in the sun or in the open, you're feeling comfortable. Comfort is far better than style sometimes, and when you get both options to work together, you're looking at something great. This material breathes easily in humid weather; in high heat it keeps a person cool, and in colder climate can keep a person relatively warm. This is no miracle textile, but it is something to look into in these modern times.

• Desire - For thousands of years royalty sought after this type of fabric and it was a sign of riches. With the changing of times comes the changing of price. This is important to understand because people previously had this idea that purchasing these types of clothing options cost a great deal of money. There are a great amount of opportunities for anyone to explore in today's fashion conscious society.

• Availability - Unlike thousands of years ago, anyone can purchase silk items. You don't have to be rich and you don't have to be located next to a major textile location to get silk tops for your wardrobe. You can explore options online and in stores at your leisure, without breaking the bank. Many people have realized this and are starting to open up to the idea of shopping for this type of garment without having to break the bank.

For those that are interested in purchasing this type of clothing it's important to understand that the care for silk tops is much different than any other type of clothing piece. The reason being is because the fabric is susceptible to high heat. If you put it in the dryer, you have to put the settings on air dry, and when washing it, make sure to wash it with the delicate cycle.

Yes, the textile is durable, stretchable, and avoids ripping, but when washing you could run the risk of bleeding the colors and burning the fabric as it can be light and weightless. One factor that is quite interesting is that the lightweight clothing promotes flexibility and mobility, even on the hottest of days. A lot of silk tops look great in the summer and when the sun goes down and can make a great option to pair with a skirt. The versatility of options is quite good, especially in these hard economic times when people might not be able to purchase all sorts of different wardrobe pieces.

Silk Tops For Your Comfort

No one likes to buy, let alone wear, uncomfortable clothing. Fabrics can be rough, bulky and very itchy. Wearing them means your skin is chafed, bruised and downright irritated. Tight clothing can decrease circulation, ride up at the most embarrassing of times and/or cut into our body leaving throbbing and hideous welts. This, together with the accompanying feeling of unattractiveness is not what most women signed up for when they buy something to wear. That is why silk tops are taking the fashion market by storm. It provides comfort to those who wear it.

While it is true many women will gladly suffer for fashion, it is questionable whether it is necessary. Do you really need to squeeze you large feet into tiny high heels? Should you really force your body into something that is obviously too tight, too short and way too painful? Of course not. You can be comfortable and still look fashionable by shopping silk tops.

One of the contributing factors to an outfits we arability is the fabric from which it is made. Consider most man-made fabrics. They do not breathe. They produce heat rashes when wearing them makes your skin hot and sticky. Some natural fabrics fair no better. Wool, for example, may keep you warm, but it can produce serious incidences of itchiness if the temperature goes up. With 100% pure silk, however, you can escape these issues. When you purchase superb silk tops and blouses from certain online specialist suppliers, you have to wear fabric that is gentle, soft and exquisite. The natural properties of silk also mean it adjusts to the weather. It is comfortable to the skin whether it is hot or cold outside. Moreover, the all-natural material is hypo-allergenic avoiding the majority of those uncomfortable skin rashes. The silk smooth material flows easily over the skin cooling it while hand stitching means no bulk seams. Moreover the fabric is cut in such a generous fashion as to avoid any unwanted tightness or uncomfortable gathering into folds.

Silk is truly both practical and comfortable. Yet, amazingly enough, silk tops are also fashionable. This opulent fabric contributes to an overall sense of style, beauty, elegance and sophistication. Moreover, each silk blouse features its own unique design - the product of a creative artist. This makes each and every silk blouse or tunic a magnificent and distinct wearable work of art. The striking colorfast dyes, hand painted onto the material, provide a effervescence and passion unmatched by printed garments. The diverse subjects of the patterns are elegantly beautiful. The selection of tops adds to the overall attraction and image. These range from sleeveless silk blouses to full, flowing batwing sleeves. This permits you to have ample choice no matter what your figure.

Silk Tops Are Perfect Office Attire

During the summer months of the year it can be hard to find comfortable, yet cool fashions for your office attire. Depending on the dress codes you are exposed to, you may or may not have a lot of options at your disposal. This is where silk tops become a great spring and summer option. There are very few fashion tops on the market today that can compete with the comfort a silk top can bring to any ensemble and in any situation. Joie is one of the leading designers in terms of fashion tops today and they too have included a wide variety of silk tops in their online website.

Silk has always been the go to fabric choice when women are searching for appropriate career and dressy attire. Even during the winter months of the year silk fashion tops can be easily layered with suit jackets and other separate pieces. It can be worn with leggings, jeans, shorts and skirts alike. Because some silk tops are long in length it's important to make sure that whatever bottom you choose to wear with it that it is not completely covered by the top, making it invisible. A good 2-3inches should visible of any bottom you choose.

You can put your heavy black dress pants away for the season and switch them up with a great pair of cigarette pants. Cigarette pants offer the perfect balance between traditional dress pants with a style flare for summer, ankle length. These pants are form fitting which makes them a perfect pair with a loose and wavy tunic. Now, just because the silk tunic mentioned above is heather grey, this is not to say that you can't choose any bright summer color to layer underneath of it. A great coral or bright pink is a great place to start, but as you have likely learned with women's fashion today, the options certainly don't end here.

If you are worried about the exposure of your shoulders in your silk tops at the work place, a simple leather jacket or cropped jean jacket would be our first suggestion as a layering option for this relaxed fashion top. You want to avoid form fitting layering options as well as sweaters and jackets that are too baggy. Right down the middle is what you need to make this ensemble work.

Now you are all ready to wear your silk tops at the office. Just one more advice be careful in washing silk tops . Because silk is such a delicate material you will often find it blended with cotton for durability. This doesn't make it any less appealing, just more practical for women interested in wearing their new found fashion top on a regular basis. Constant washing of a silk top can create damage to the material, but when blended with cotton you eliminate this risk.

Silk Tops To Make The Summer Hotter

As the temperatures increase, the necklines dip and the hemlines rise. Sleeves reduce becoming straps or short. All are part of a woman's way of keeping her cool during the coming hot and sunny days. Short sleeves also allow us to show off our tans. If tees bore you and those blouses and tops seem more and more run-of-the-mill, it's time to think differently. Why not consider the merits of a marvelous sleeveless silk tops?

Silk certainly has its points. Among all the natural fabrics, it is truly the Queen of femininity. Do you know any fabric that can match it in terms of radiant sheen and delicate softness? Why else do you think it has long been a favorite fabric for making luxurious and luxury lingerie? There is also the drape and flow of the fabric. When silk becomes silk tops, tunics or blouses, it creates such an impression it is impossible for anyone to mistake it for any other material. At the same time, it graces its wearer with the unmistakable stamp of quality and class.

Yet, silk is more than just a pretty fabric. It is also a very practical one. The natural property it possesses allows it to retain heat in the cold months and draw moisture and warmth away from the body in those steamy summer months. A sleeveless silk top is not only a flowing item of grace, it is also cool. The looseness and the fabric allow the air to circulate freely.

And luckily, nowadays, we have the advantage to purchase silk tops from online merchants and from our favorite brands as well such as Joie. Unlike the many mass-produced retail garments, many of these silk tops are unique and made by designers to capture the unique quality of every woman. The result means you will barely find two identical tops in your block. This guarantees you have you own individual look and avoid that nightmare - appearing at an event or on the street in the same outfit as another woman. The wide range of colors - from pastel to brilliant bold slashes, and designs - from feminine florals to brilliant abstracts, ensure that you have the ideal design suited for you.

Summer is a marvelous season for women to show off their feminine side as well as their fabulous shapes. It does not matter what your shape, weight or size, marvelous silk tops or tunic will allow you to glow with femininity but still remain fresh as the proverbial daisy all day long.

Guess Eyewear - Huge Sunglasses

It is summer! My favorite time of the month! So of course, I need to shop for summer clothes and most importantly, I’m on the hunt for a new pair of sunglasses. That’s right! Any summer outfit would not be complete without any eyewear. It adds edge and sexiness to your look, plus it protects your eyes for the harmful heat and light the sun gives out every summer. When choosing an eyewear, I tend to stick with the affordable but great looking brands and stays away from the very high price designer eyewear because admit it or not, we often lose our sunglasses or accidentally break it within a few months of purchasing it. Plus affordable brands gives me the chance to choose more styles and designs instead of just choosing one design from those pricey ones. My favorite place to shop for eyewears is Guess. Guess eyewear is very trendy and affordable at the same time, they have playful and colorful eyewear and many classy eyewear too. Guess had been known worldwide and I trust Guess for my fashion.

When shopping Guess eyewear today at their online shop, I stumble upon this very stylish huge sunglasses. I usually stick with a classic style like Aviators or Wayfarers but I can’t help but be tempted by the gigantic pairs I’ve seen (and I’ve been seeing a lot lately too). So I think I’ll go buy that one this summer. But will my decision be right?

When it comes to big sunglasses, you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. I think they look adorable on mostly everyone and they seem perfect to wear on errand-filled days when you don’t feel like wearing makeup. I had to hear what the fellas thought of this style so I reached out to a few of my guy friends. Here’s what they had to say:

“Girls look ridiculous wearing them because sunglasses are supposed to fit on your face, not cover it.” --Daniel, 26

“Big sunglasses are not hot. They look OK on some women but there has to be some sort of limit put on these things. They are more like clown glasses than sunglasses in some cases. Another argument I have heard for them is that Jackie O. wore big sunglasses like that. Even good looking women have started hiding their faces behind the huge glasses because they are in style and that's just a shame.” --Nate, 29

“When I first noticed them, I thought they were horribly stupid and Elton John-esque. But they have grown on me and are actually one of the positives I notice on females nowadays. Maybe I'm just a sell-out.” --Kevin, 27

Huge sunglasses are totally chiq and sexy. There’s something in it that when I see ladies wearing it, I instantly get attractive to them. It’s as if every girls who wear huge sunglasses is pretty in my sight. (hopefully they are as pretty as they are when they remove their sunglasses). – Mark, 25

Mixed bag, huh? What do you ladies think of big sunglasses? Are they pretty or not so much? Do you ever wear them? Does your guy pay attention to your eyewear? Anyway I’m buying this huge Guess eyewear now. But hit me up some comments and answers along the way.

How To Rock Guess Eyewear Celebrity Styles

There's still time to lock down your signature summer look—and picking out the right eyewear is key. Because nobody wears sunglasses like a star, we're looking to celebs for inspiration. And as we all know, celebrities loves wearing designer sunglasses such as Guess. Yes, Guess eyewear had been a favorite brand of celebrities ever since. Here are some of our favorite versions of Guess eyewear, wore by our favorite stars—from classic styles to more out-there specs.

Rectangular
A wide, angular pair—like the ones Katie Holmes loves to weat—is great if your style is tailored and ladylike. The two-toned lenses make these cool.

Classic Square
Simple, square shades like Pippa Middleton's look sexy on everyone, work with all styles and can be dressed up or down—you can wear them to the beach and then with a cocktail dress without a problem.

Cat-Eye
This style looks good on most face shapes, but it's super-flattering if your face is round. Just like what Anne Hathaway is sporting recently because of her cat woman role in batmad.

Matte-Framed
For an original spin on classic black shades, look for a pair with a non-shiny frame. Adele's slightly cat-eye-shaped pair is edgy without being too much.

Aviators
Few styles translate to "hot babe" like aviators—as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley proves from time to time. They look great on square and heart-shaped faces, but that doesn't mean round-faced girls can't wear them—just look for a wider-set pair with straighter edges.

Brown-Hued
If you want a pair that screams summer, try all-brown shades. Jaime King's taupe-ish version is perfect for blondes—if you're brunette, pick a tone that's close to your hair color

Funky Retro
Small, round, '50s-style shades aren't for everyone, but they're so, so trendy right now. First-timers should try a pair like Whitney Port's with a partially-clear frame—they make the style a little less dramatic.

'70s-Inspired
J.Lo knows a thing or two about looking hot in shades—we bet this woman owns 5 million pairs. If you want to try intricate frames like these, make sure they work with what you're wearing (her silver, sequined top is dead-on) without being too costume-y.

Playful Patterns
Olivia Palermo's shades are speckled with a butterfly-ish print. If you're looking for a daring style, this is the version for you.

Get this cool Guess eyewear now and start rocking it out like a star! You can visit any Guess branches or shop online at their official website. Enjoy shopping!

Women’s Eyewear and Frames

There are a number of frames made for women’s eyewear in order to suit every individual tastes out there but with the number of these frames and styles available, a lot of women find it hard to shop for the perfect glasses that would their face and personality. Here, we have made an article that will make women's eyewear shopping easier and less confusing. These tips will help you have fun shopping and also find that perfect frame for you.

Before giving the optician a visit, you should think about what you want to communicate with the optician. Think about the frame whether you want a bold, retro or modern, conservative or “out there”.
Are there any current fashion trends that you are interested in? If so, don’t forget to tell the optician.
Where are you going to wear the frame? Is it at work? Or only when you go out of town? Are you going for a designer label or any brand will do?
You should also understand and know the shape of your shape. Are you happy with your current eyeglasses, what is it that you don’t like about it?

Also, you should find out what colors most of your outfits are in, it will help you in choosing the color of your frames.

Wear the frames that you want to buy and observe how it feels on your face. If it slides off from your nose then you may have a problem with it but don’t worry, your optician can do something about it by adjusting the temple length or the way the temple tips wrap around your ears.

Is the front too wide and doesn’t fit your face? Perhaps the size is bigger, just try on a smaller size.
See to it that you are comfortable with the nose pads and if not, your optician can replace it with more comfortable ones or you can also try getting the same kind of frames with different nose pads.

Don’t forget to ask for advice when it comes to the durability of the frames. Men are more concerned with a frame’s durability than women. But if your frame fell apart quickly after use then it’s probably poorly made and you are not getting your money’s worth.

women's eyewear are accessories so it’s alright to have more than a pair. You should have a pair that you would wear for everyday use and a pair for formal occasions, work and casual affairs with friends.
